The door of Salvation

A day is coming when the door of salvation will be closed forever. The door is a frequent metaphor used in the Bible. Jesus is that door.

John 10:9:
I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.

When that door closes another one will not open on this occasion. It will be too late to enter into God’s Kingdom. Those who reject Jesus will have this door slammed in their face, it will be permanently closed and entrance will be refused, there will be no second chances.

Jesus has told us that the day is coming when the opportunity for accepting the free gift of salvation will be removed.

Luke 13:25:
“When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,

Whether it is the day you die or if Jesus returns in your lifetime, this door of salvation will slam shut. If you have never accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour then it will be the worst feeling in the world to have missed out on God’s free gift and realise that an eternity of ‘Hell’ awaits you.

This door (Jesus) is open today but nobody knows for how much longer. It could slam shut at any moment. To open this door and find eternal life turn from your sins, accept Jesus into your heart, and live your life for him.

Jesus is the only way, there is no other. Get right with Him today. Jesus is God and the only one that can save you from eternal separation from God in Hell.

Seek Jesus today - while the door is still open.

John 14:6:

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
