Childlike faith

How does a sinner come to salvation? They come by simple humble faith in Jesus. Sinners come to The Lord because they are consumed from the guilt of their sin. They are fully aware that they cannot save themselves. They believe that Jesus is the only one who can save them.
Jesus said that only those with hearts humbled like little children will ever see the Kingdom of Heaven.

Luke 18:17
'Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it'.

We must become like children and strip away our sins, arrogance, pride, and worldly desires. Unless you rid yourself of your evil sin nature and especially your pride and the hardness of your heart then you will never be ready to receive the Kingdom of Heaven. Only after becoming like little children will we be ready to accept the simple gift of grace that God offers to each and every one of us.

Matthew 18:4-5
'Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receive me'.

How does a person enter into the Kingdom of Heaven? It is very simple. It is by having childlike faith in The Lord Jesus Christ. It is not by believing in the complicated. It is simply taking God at His word. It is by having a humble heart. A heart that believes what it is told. You believe Jesus Christ died on the cross to save you from your sins and give you eternal life.

John 10:28-29
'I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand'.

  1. We are certainly guilty of making things more complex than we have to, and our faith is no different. Thanks for the reminder that the love of God and His salvation is child like, and may God help us to become more like His children as we get closer to Him.

    1. Yes it is a very simple message that we are given. God loves us and wants all of us to come to know Him and have eternal life. It is man that overcomplicates things.
