Revelation 5:12
'Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!'
As Christians, The Lord is always with us. Even though sometimes it appears that God isn't there, He ALWAYS is there. It is our lack of faith in Him that is the problem at these times, it is never God letting us down - that simply is not in His nature.
It doesn’t matter what you may be going through, it is crucial that we still praise God. He loves us no matter what. He deserves our unending praise. He sent his Son - The Lord Jesus Christ to die for us. So praising Him is something we must do every single day.
Yes it is so true that we will become discouraged and don't feel like continuing to fight the battles of what this life throws our way.
Sometimes we can feel as if we can't find enough energy to continue with life's journey. Giving up is the easier option. Going back to our old ways would be lets say 'less demanding.'
But is it really?
Proverbs 14:12
'There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.'
We cannot save ourselves. We cannot make our own way. In fact, every time we think we have it “all figured out,” by ourself, we end up in a world of pain and hurt. We need God, always. From that very first time that we cried out to Him to save us, to be our Lord and Savour. We need Jesus. To our very last breath - we need Jesus.
Philippians 4:19
'And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.'
In this life, we will never reach perfection. Yes we may be saved and our eternal destination secured but we still have to contend with our old sinful nature. Perfection is a future state we will attain when God calls us home to be with Him forever and ever - surely that means we must praise our awesome God no matter what. Amen.
